Vaelorys, a dark fantasy role-playing game heavily influenced by titles like Diablo and Path of Exile, has officially launched in Early Access for the Meta Quest platform. Developed by Spellbound Studio, the title distinguishes itself with a gesture-based combat system that allows players to cast over thirty unlockable spells through physical movements.

The game supports cooperative multiplayer for up to eight players, focusing on dungeon crawling mechanics and an arena mode where participants face hordes of enemies. Central to the experience is a progression system featuring multiple classes and builds, alongside a loot-heavy design intended to reward players during their runs.

Spellbound Studio is currently conducting playtests and actively seeking player feedback to guide future updates and feature additions. The game was released with a low launch price of $4.99, a strategy likely aimed at encouraging players to try the title during its development phase.

This release addresses a limited selection for fans of the Diablo series in the virtual reality space. While options like Dungeons of Eternity and Legendary Tales exist, other projects have faced setbacks, such as Alta canceling its co-op dungeon crawler Reave earlier this year. Vaelorys is available now for Quest.
